A message from the 'Oldies' at Hollin Hall to potential adopters

Have you ever considered giving an older greyhound a comfortable home? You may feel that a greyhound aged 7 and over is an old dog but in fact, if well cared for, we can live until we are 12-14 years old so we could have plenty of life left in us, given a chance.

In our kennels at Hollin Hall there are currently a few of us 'oldies' who would appreciate a chance of a forever home. We are:- Paddy aged 9, Nicky aged 9, Flash aged 9, Link aged 8, Billy aged 8, Sue aged 8, Deano aged 7, Pam aged 7, Goldie aged 7, Wren aged 7, Barney aged 7 and Major aged 7.

Please have a look at our photos and details on this website and consider adopting one of us 'oldies'. Alison, who runs the kennels, can answer (on our behalf!) any questions you may have regarding adopting an older dog. We would love to meet you at the kennels so please give Alison a call (0787 6077093). Don't we deserve a loving and comfortable home in the second half of our lives? We will thank you, in many ways, for letting us be your loving and devoted companion for years to come.

Thank you

Paddy, Nicky, Flash, Link, Billy, Sue, Deano, Pam, Goldie, Wren, Barney and Major

Greyhounds make wonderful pets. When they finish their racing careers, they retire in every sense of the word. They are friendly, gentle, loyal, and good natured and they quickly adapt to family life. owning a greyhound is one of lifes great joys.

Hollin Hall Rehoming Centre was opened in October 2005 and houses 22 retired greyhounds, if you are thinking about a new pet you are welcome to visit the centre, see the dogs and ask any questions you may have without having to commit to taking a dog. All dogs within the scheme are neutered and vaccinated upto date.

We currently have 30 to 40 dogs available for adoption. For any information on adoption or any dogs shown on the website you can email me via this website or I can be contacted on 07876077093.

Thank you to Alison for supplying refreshments for our November walk. Your donations raised £30. Thank you.

Many thanks to Andrew and Marie for organising a race night which raised £591 and thanks to everyone who attended.
